Whitney was appointed Circuit Judge for the 50th Circuit after the untimely passing of Judge Dotson.

The 50th Circuit includes Boyle & Mercer County.

Since her appointment, Judge Johns has rapidly expanded Drug Court and worked to increase community engagement with the court.

Family

Whitney is married to James and the mother to two daughters (17 & 11) and a son (7).

Her children are active in the Mercer and Burgin School Districts, participating in a variety of sports and 4H.

The Johns family lives on a small farm in Mercer County, where they raise sheep.
